The business has been in the current location since the early '80's. Known for customer service, quality fishing equipment, information on the area, and our willingness to help anyone out is our stregnths. Both John and I are from Cedar Rapids, IA. We come from strong hunting and fishing backgrounds. We had been based out of Clayton, Iowa since 1988. We enjoyed the area enough to buy J & L's in 2001. We left the name J & L's, as we had a little dog named Lucy. Lucy was everybody's friend! She never met anyone she didn't like ...... just like us! Information Center You can't buy it, but we're the information center in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. With Internet access at our fingertips, we offer instant weather updates, copies, faxes, and you can check your emails while enjoying Harpers Ferry. Want to know if the fish are biting? At J & L's, we'll know. While we can't tell you which log to fish off of, we'll know if the fish are biting at the dam, or in the sloughs, and which bait to use.
